Day Tickets
Children from socially less advantaged families receive a Kinderuni day ticket (KinderuniTagesticket). These are families who live in poverty or are at risk of poverty. A day ticket for the Vienna Children’s University gives them the opportunity to take part in children’s university activities during a supervised day trip. Children can get to know science and research, become more interested in it and discover studying as an option in their educational path.
Children from charitable institutions (family centres, refugee facilities, etc.) are picked up, accompanied through the program by trained tutors, offered meals and brought home again. The children can thus spend a whole day with Children’s University activities.
If you would like to draw our attention to possible institutions, charities and associations that could benefit from the program, please contact us: kinderuni.tagesticket@univie.ac.at
